Dear Franchi, I made it. Excellent wares.
Faster shipping would help. One thing to consider when doing business is whether you want your personal ethics to interact with your sales. I would definitely agree that your personality loses some sales with those you call tacky, likely from others as well.
Also it's hard to recommend a place to put advertisements when I'm not sure what business model you are taking. Some questions include:
-are you committed to making bespoke items, or are you willing to make a variety of ties ahead of time and try to sell them?
-are you looking to only focus on ties, or do you plan to branch out?
-do you only look to buy things such as banners or ads, or are getting places in stores or in catalogs options?
Hi, the faster shipping, all the recent but two commisions have been done and shipped in two weeks, and one was due to my own fault due to travelling sorry, the pochette for a member here, and other client gave a wrong adress, so his envelope could have not incluided on the mail office day ( the postal is on the other part of the city and half a day is needed, so we compile to have enough boxes to employ half a day going) others chosen ups, that is at 2 minutes walking from us and got in 24h in their countries( well i paid 24, and got 48h), how was that? But we do as fast as we can, record was same day made.( this might happen once on a year, honestly)
All is made bespoke, ties or pochettes at this time , or to order, different linings, measures, lengths, hand embroied initials. Have no stock of garments out of a few samples already made as test or show ( or for myself)
At this time, any client got the same exact parameters of other, so perhaps i would eat myself the rtw line you suggest? I hope not
Bespoke shirts will be made soon, once my neurotic maniac quality is achieved, with a free test muslim sent before to correct the pattern if needed and give ultimate fit support ( no shirts without buttonholes as on others lol) I have started with it and doing the muslims for some people at this time.
What is catalogue options? Would like to be on stores as mtm service ( actually i think, humbly, i got the biggest
fabric option, since i work with all the good mills, while on the NYC corners of the brands i have practiced and learnt from, are just a selection of fabrics my friend and one of the masters did, maybe 100 fabrics vs 5000 or more i can get but i am humble and unless is for personal friendship, i doubt Berdorf Goodman choses me as they buy brands or know names ( anyway won´t lose my selfstem asking him lol)
I wonder who and how booked the fake tiemaker and if he got success selling to shops other than scamming clients.
Thanks for the help.
Folks,
Got no marketing idea, some friends are suggesting that my orthodox views about society, dressing etc are damaging my isales, but i think i never wanted igents as clients.
Question is, how could i improve my sales? Sure i need better pics and a real web, but that can´t be at this time but on the future. Are serious dressing blogs, not tackyshills, other forums, or serious places i can buy banners( never bribe) etc?
Thanks
If you are dead set on sticking with bespoke or Mtm garments the feud with many igents is likely going to be an issue. Most stores that offer bespoke of another service cater to igents and are run by igents. You might try looking into advertising your range of fabrics as a selling point and trying to go to somewhere like the armory, but considering their employment of scammers that will likely not work out. You might want to post up a classifieds listing here with an outline of the services you offer.
His level of vitriol makes Alexander Kabbaz seem downright nice and reasonable.
It only will impact his sales if he does not make a new name for his sale profile. Just act basic and professional for his sales and he can do whatever he want for his personal handle.
That assumes he is willing to do business with those he so virulently posts against. I would not imagine that he wants to do business with the tackys he so despises. An alternate source of business is to provide decent service to a small number of members who can go out and provide him increased avenues for success. This all hinges on his choices though (and likely improving his english).
do you offer ties with the condor legion logo as small print?
^this
Sartodi Napoli the single most important thing you will have to do if you wish to be taken seriously as a merchant of shirts and ties you cannot continue to post the way you currently do by attacking SF members, bloggers and everyone else. To be successful, you cannot express your dislike for people otherwise they will dismiss you.
You have knowledge so state your point clearly and objectively. Work on your English so that you can communicate more clearly and concisely instead of creating massive rants.
You should no longer invoke the name of God or express homophobic opinions.
As for selling your products, use a good camera to take high quality pictures. The pictures you currently take do not work very well for enticing people to buy you fabrics, ties etc.
Use a website, Facebook, or a blog site to display your products. Instagram and other internet sites can be used to display your merchandise and services.
Once you are established and you figure out where you will eventually live you will have to decide on where your atelier will be. Are you going to do things only over the Internet? That may work for ties but what about shirts?
Get the people who have bought you ties etc. to post about them or put testimonials on your site.
You will need to start immediately creating a new online personality that tells people you are a trusted craftsman and not a whack job.
I also plan to get my blog soon of DENUNCE AND EXPOSSE of tackys, untailors, bloggers and scammers, where i would offer as well all my products. He can succeed with a change in his nom de plumme, allowing him full freedom as sarto and full work ethic as whatever he so chooses - maybe MOP?
I think it would be better to have the upper left most image, with the name not having of Jerusalem. Maybe in a bit darker and less saturated red though. I am glad you are not selling to tackys though. No need to dilute your brand.
except that he will be selling on the fora in which he posts. that is pissing in one's own bathwater. so if he sells outside of the various fira he posts in all is fine. but these foa are where he wants to sell
I'm confused at the recent backlash to sarto especially in reference to the designs. This seems like some liberal groupthink, to denounce old christian or pagan symbols for their use by new people. Does anyone seriously think he is a facist?
Yes, some recent posts may be a bit over the top - but some recent posts seem like nothing but firewood.
Pretty much par for the course and relatively minor compared to the past.Talking about terrorist attacks on sartorial gatherings is a bit over the top. Done in jest, yes, but still over the top - especially when accompanied by video stills of executions.
